The right fielder is unavailable for today's game, and is day-to-day.
In Wednesday night's game, Oakland Athletics right fielder Josh Reddick sustained ankle and neck injuries while tripping over first base beating out an infield check swing single, according to reports from the A's beat writers. While he remained in the game in right field (and squeezed two of the three outs in the top of the ninth), Reddick is not available to play today. Brandon Moss will play in the outfield.
Stephen Vogt made an appearance pinch hitting for designated hitter Derek Norris last night, and reached on an intentional walk after Texas Rangers pitcher Phil Klein threw a wild pitch. Billy Burns promptly pinch ran for Vogt. It appears Vogt is still not able to play defense as he recovers from a sprained ankle, and so Alberto Callaspo will start at first base.
Shane Peterson, who played in the outfield with the Sacramento River Cats and has played first base during his minor league career, remains on the 40-man roster but still not called up.
Some notes from the Athletics beat writers:
Reddick showed up this morning w/ankle in a wrap. Sounds like availability in any capacity is up in air today. #Athletics

Reddick got an MRI on his ankle this morning. Also has soreness in his neck from the fall at first. Ankle is bigger issue. #Athletics
